[Archived] Alexandria Police Investigate Bank Robbery at Capital One Bank Located on S. Washington Street

Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred this morning at the Capital One Bank, located at 500 S. Washington Street.  Around 9:45 A.M., a man entered the bank, implied a weapon and demanded money.  The victim teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the area.  No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, six foot to six feet one inch tall.  The suspect was wearing a red jacket, light colored pants and a gray knit cap.  Photos of the suspect were captured on a video surveillance camera.
