[Archived] Schuyler Hamilton Jones Skateboard Park to Close for Annual Maintenance

The Schuyler Hamilton Jones Skateboard Park, located at 3540 Wheeler Ave., will be closed for annual maintenance from Tuesday, September 7 through Thursday, September 9. Maintenance activities include graffiti removal, repainting of metallic structures, surface resealing, and fencing repairs. In addition, the facility will receive a full safety audit. The facility will reopen on Friday, September 10.

The City’s skateboard park is free and open to the public as follows:

Hours of Operation:

• April: 9 am - 7 pm
• May – July: 9 am - 8:30 pm
• August – September: 9 am - 7 pm
• October – March: 9 am - 5 pm

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities requires all skateboard park patrons to wear proper protective equipment including helmets, and elbow and kneepads.
