[Archived] Alexandria City Council to Hold Special Meeting on Thursday, August 19

The Alexandria City Council will hold a special meeting on Thursday, August 19, at 5:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, Alexandria City Hall, 301 King St. City Council members will consider approval of a resolution affirming the Local Emergency Declaration for the storm on August 5, 2010. State law requires that the City Council affirm the Local Emergency Declaration made by City Manager James K. Hartmann within 14 days of issuance. If City Council adopts the resolution, the City of Alexandria will be eligible for any State or federal assistance that might become available for reimbursement of recovery costs and damage from the storm.
