[Archived] Two Alarm Fire Displaces Residents

July 1, 2010

Firefighters responded to a two alarm fire in the 900 block of N. Alfred Street.  First arriving units reported smoke coming from an upstairs window of a two story town house.  Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in an upstairs bedroom.

The home was occupied at the time of the fire.  One of the residents called 911 to report the fire.  Both residents quickly evacuated the home.  There were no reported injuries.

Damage is estimated at $7,000.  The cause remains under investigation.
