Alexandria Police Investigate Sexual Assault on Duke Street

Alexandria Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred Tuesday, April 13, around 12:01 A.M., in the 1600 block of Duke Street.  A 22 year-old female was walking home from the King Street Metro station when she was grabbed by a man who displayed a box-cutter and forced her into an alley where he sexually assaulted her.  The suspect is described as black with facial acne.

Anyone with information about this incident or who might have been in the area is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section of the Alexandria Police Department at 703.838.4711 or the Crime Solvers tip line at 703.838.4858. 

Detectives would like to remind witnesses that they can remain anonymous.
