News Highlights:

• Elderly and disabled tax relief applications for 2010 are now available from Tax Services.
• Applications and/or certifications have been mailed to existing participants and residents who requested to be added to the mailing list.

The City of Alexandria has begun mailing applications for the City’s Tax Relief Programs for the Elderly or Totally and Permanently Disabled to all previous participants and those who have requested applications for 2010. If you are at least 65 years of age or permanently and totally disabled by November 15, 2010, you may qualify for a full or partial exemption and/or deferral for your 2010 real estate taxes and/or an exemption from your 2010 personal property taxes on one vehicle.
