Alexandria Police Investigate Bank Robbery at BB&T Bank Located on King Street

Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Saturday, October 24 at the BB&T Bank, located at 1717 King Street.  Around 10:15 A.M., a man walked into the bank, approached the teller and implied he had a weapon.  The suspect demanded money, took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank.  No one was injured.

The suspect is described as black, unshaven with a dark complexion, between 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall.  He was wearing a gray colored zip up jacket.  The investigation is ongoing.
