News Highlights:
• 2009 Vehicle Personal Property Tax Bills have been mailed to all registered vehicle owners.
• Any vehicle owner residing in the City who does not receive a bill by September 15, 2009, should contact the City to request a duplicate bill.

The City of Alexandria has mailed 2009 Vehicle Personal Property Tax bills to all vehicle owners residing in the City. If you do not receive a personal property tax bill by September 15, please contact Personal Property at vehicletax@alexandriava.gov or call 703.746.3901. You may also contact the City’s Treasury Division at payments@alexandriava.gov or call 703.746.3902. Taxpayers who have had a change of address or disposed of a vehicle and have not previously reported this change to the City should contact Personal Property so that an adjusted bill can be provided for them prior to the October 5 due date.
The following events may affect the annual assessment or billing of personal property tax: a move to another jurisdiction or state; the sale, donation, trade, destruction or other disposal of the vehicle.
