Coming Soon
Thursday, July 7 - Census 2010 Complete Count Committee Meeting
The Census 2010 Complete Count Committee will be meeting at 7p.m. in Room 2000, City Hall (301 King St.) in preparation for the 2010 US Census, which will officially kick off on April 1, 2010. In March 2009, City Council established a Complete Count Committee to help develop a strategy to ensure an accurate count and promote participation by all residents. It is critical that all City residents are counted since Census data are used to distribute Congressional seats to states, to make decisions about what community services to provide, and to distribute $300 billion in federal funds to local, state and tribal governments each year.
