The Freddie Mac Foundation Heart Gallery, a collection of portraits of children in foster care who are waiting to be adopted, will be on display in the Vola Lawson Lobby of City Hall (301 King St.) from April 20 through May 1. The children featured in the gallery are from Alexandria, Washington, D.C., and the surrounding area. Since November 2005, the exhibit has been displayed in Washington, D.C., at Union Station, the John A. Wilson Building and the Kennedy Center, and in Virginia at the Fairfax County Government Center and at Freddie Mac.
