Alexandria Police Investigate Bank Robbery at BB&T Bank Located on Seminary Road

Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred earlier today at the BB&T bank, located at 4999 Seminary Road.  Around 11:00 A.M., two masked men walked into the bank, one of them displaying a handgun and approached the teller.  The suspects demanded money, took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a dark green sedan.  No one was injured.
The first suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a stocky build. The second suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet 1 inch tall with a thin build.  Both suspects were wearing greenish pants, gray hooded sweatshirts, and black ski masks.
Detectives would like to remind witnesses that they can remain anonymous. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Detective T.
