Serial Burglars Arrested in Alexandria

Alexandria Police arrested two burglars who were caught in the act of breaking into a home in the 1400 block of Coventry Lane.  On March 19, 2009 at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers responded for the report of a burglary in progress.  When they arrived, they caught Aaron Jay Paige, 26, of Glendale, Maryland and Brittany Chele’ Wilson, 19, of Washington, DC, attempting to steal property from the house.  They were taken the Alexandria Adult Detention Center where they were charged with six counts of Burglary or Attempted Burglary.

These two serial burglars are responsible for at least seven burglaries that occurred in Alexandria from March 11th through the 19th.

Diligent officers and detectives pursued every possible investigative lead to bring these cases to a swift and successful conclusion.
The following is a list of the burglaries or attempted burglaries involved.
1. March 11, 2009 - 4900 block of John Ticer Drive
2. March 12, 2009 – 4900 block of Gardner Drive
3. March 17, 2009 – two burglaries in the 5800 block of Cowling Court
4. March 18, 2009 – 220 block of Yale Drive
5. March 19, 2009 – 4900 block of Gardner Drive and the 1400 block of Coventry Lane.
