Alexandria Police Seek to Identify Robbery Suspect

The Alexandria Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in the robbery of a SunTrust Bank located at 4551 Kenmore Avenue.  The robbery took place on February 28.

 

On February 28, at approximately 10:40 A.M., the suspect entered the business.  He was wearing a mask and brandishing a shotgun.  He ordered everyone to the ground.  He then removed personal property from customers inside the bank and fled on foot.  There were no injuries

 

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’7” to 5’8” with a muscular build.

 

Detectives would like to remind witnesses that they can remain anonymous. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Detective T.
