Promoting a Healthier Alexandria for all Ages
The public is invited to participate in the second annual “Alexandria Recreation Games for Healthy Living,” January 10 through March 6, 2009. The Alexandria Recreation Games for Healthy Living is an eight-week fitness program that promotes healthy lifestyle choices for all family members, and encourages Alexandrians to make being active a part of their daily lives. An awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, at the Lee Center Kauffman Auditorium, 1108 Jefferson St. The Alexandria Recreation Games for Healthy Living program is free and open to all City residents.
Registration begins December 22, 2008. To register, pick up an information packet at the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center, your neighborhood recreation centers or online at www.alexandriava.gov/recreation.
The Recreation Games for Healthy Living is coordinated by the City’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities.
