Alexandria Police Investigate Suspicious Death on South Van Dorn Street

Alexandria police are investigating the suspicious death of a 24 year-old female in the 300 block of South Van Dorn Street.  Today, around 2:30 P.M., police were called to South Van Dorn Street for a welfare check.  Upon entering the apartment, officers discovered the victim.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity is not being released pending notification of next of kin.  An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
