Alexandria Police Investigate Sexual Assault

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a sexual assault that occurred on November 22, 2008.  At approximately 4:00 A.M., the victim, an Alexandria woman, was assaulted as she walked in the 1200 block of East Abingdon Drive. 

The suspect is described as a black male, 6’00” to 6’02” with a medium complexion.  He was last seen wearing a black jacket, with a reflective material on it, and a blue and green plaid, flannel shirt.  He was wearing a black, Gortex-style ski mask with openings for the eyes and mouth.  There is a gold emblem or logo on the mask.
