[Archived] Alexandria Police Investigate Robbery at United Bank

 

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred today at the United Bank at 301 South Washington Street in Alexandria.  There were no injuries.

 

At approximately 9:15 A.M., a suspect entered the bank and approached the teller. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money.  The teller complied and the suspect fled. The suspect was last seen running southbound from the bank.

 

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, wearing a gray nylon jacket and dark pants. The suspect was also wearing a clear Halloween-style face mask, character unknown.
