Dine Out and Shop to Support Alexandria’s Walk to Fight Breast Cancer - Tuesday, October 21

The Fourth Annual Dine Out and Shop for the Walk to Fight Breast Cancer will take place on Tuesday, October 21. It will raise money for Alexandria’s Breast Cancer Fund for Early Detection and Education administered by the Inova Alexandria Hospital Foundation. Twenty-nine Alexandria restaurants and stores will be donating a portion of their proceeds from October 21 to support the Fund. 

The Fund has received more than $1 million from the Dine Out and Shop event and the Walk to Fight Breast Cancer since its inception in 1994. The Fund has paid for mammograms and other early detection services for nearly 5,000 under-insured Alexandria residents.

Alexandria’s Walk to Fight Breast Cancer, sponsored by the City of Alexandria and the Inova Alexandria Hospital Foundation, takes place on Saturday, October 25, at 8 a.m., so you can plan to walk off those extra calories from participating in the Dine Out!
