City Announces the Opening of the Upper King Street Fresh Farmers’ Market
Wednesdays, August 13 through October 29
 
The City of Alexandria and the Upper King Street Neighborhood Association proudly announce the opening of the 2008 Upper King Street Fresh Farmers’ Market on Wednesday, August 13 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The market will be located at the King Street Gardens Park (1806 King St.) just a few steps from the King Street Metro. It will be open rain or shine every Wednesday through October 29.
 
The Fresh Farmers’ Market will offer area residents and commuters the opportunity to shop for fresh, locally grown produce, home made goods and bakery items.  It will be an exciting addition to the hugely successful weekend farmers’ markets at Market Square, the West End, and in Del Ray.
