City Offers Free Football Camp to City Resident Youth

The City’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities invites City youth to sharpen their gridiron skills at the Alexandria Titans Youth Football Camp. The free Football Camp will be held July 28 - July 31 at the George Washington Middle School (1005 Mt. Vernon Ave.) from 6 to 8 p.m. All City residents ages 6 to 18 (age as of October 1, 2008) are eligible to participate. The camp focuses on building and enforcing the proper techniques of passing, running, catching, blocking, and agility drills. On-site registration is available.

In addition to Football Camp, the City offers an opportunity for resident youth to participate in the Alexandria Titans Youth Football League. The deadline to register for the Football League is Friday, August 1.
