Alexandria Police Investigate Shooting

Alexandria police are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday morning in the 100 block of South Royal Street.  Saturday, around 1:30 A.M. police were called for the report of a shooting.  Officers arrived on the scene and located the victim.  The victim suffered from a gunshot wound to the arm.  He was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The victim reports that he was shot during an attempted robbery while in the 100 block of South Royal Street.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Alexandria Police Department at 703.838.4711.
