Orange Line Trains Single-Tracking, 30-Minute Delays Expected
Tuesday, June 10
Orange Line trains will be sharing the same track (single-tracking) between Clarendon and Foggy Bottom Metrorail stations today. Metro officials are continuing to repair damage to the track components and infrastructure between Rosslyn and Court House Metrorail stations that were damaged when a train derailed there Monday afternoon.
Metrorail Orange Line riders can expect significant delays during the morning rush hour and should plan to add at least 30 minutes to their morning commutes.
The damage was discovered Monday evening when track officials inspected the area of the track between Rosslyn and Court House stations following the derailment. Trains will single-track until officials fix the track, test it and deem it safe to move trains through the area.
