Alexandria Commission for the Arts Changes Meeting Time for its June 2008 Regular Meeting

The City of Alexandria Commission for the Arts will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, June 17 at the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson St. The Commission will convene in Executive Session pursuant to Va. Code 2.2-3711 (A) (1) to discuss personnel matters prior to the regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. The regular meeting will convene immediately following the Executive Session.  The Alexandria Commission for the Arts’ mission is to lead and advocate for cultural development within the City and surrounding region.

The Commission fulfills its mission through offering funding for community arts programs; arts education partnerships with both Alexandria's public and private schools and neighborhood recreation centers, and collaborations in marketing the City's arts events and arts organizations.
