Alexandria Police Investigate Traffic Crash

Alexandria police are investigating a traffic crash involving a City of Alexandria school bus that occurred in the 1200 block of South Washington Street.

At approximately 7:40 A.M., police responded to a vehicle crash involving thee vehicles and a school bus.  A vehicle traveling south on South Washington Street collided with two other vehicles before veering into a stopped school bus.  Two adults and one child were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries.  The remaining children onboard were transferred to a waiting school bus and taken to Lyles-Crouch Elementary School.

South Washington Street, between Franklin Street and S. Alfred Street, was closed for approximately two hours.
