The City of Alexandria will display designs from the top finalists of the Freedmen’s Cemetery Memorial Design Competition during a Community Open House held June 4 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The Open House will be held in the Sister Cities Conference Room 1101 in City Hall (301 King St.). This event will give the public an opportunity to provide comment and feedback on the overall Freedmen’s Cemetery project and design competition process. The entries will be on public display in the Vola Lawson lobby in City Hall June 4 through June 18.

Based on public feedback, the Freedmen’s Cemetery Memorial Design Competition Steering Committee will select a winner and two runners-up, who will be announced later this summer.
