Alexandria Park and Recreation Commission Reschedules May 2008 Regular Meeting

The City of Alexandria Park and Recreation Commission will meet on Thursday, May 22 at the Mt. Vernon Recreation Center, 2701 Mt. Vernon Ave., at 7:30 p.m. The Park and Recreation Commission is an 11-member advisory unit established by City Council in March 1970.

The Commission advises City Council in matters relating to parkland, recreation and culture, and participates in planning recreational activities and services through its advice to Council and to the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities. The members of the Park and Recreation Commission are selected to represent one of the three Park Districts in the City.
