City of Alexandria Hosts 30th Annual Cheerleading Competition
On Saturday, April 19

The City of Alexandria will host the 30th Annual Cheerleading Competition, scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19 at T.C. Williams High School, 3330 King St. The competition features preteen and teen cheerleading squads from the Charles Barrett, Charles Houston, Cora Kelly, Mount Vernon, Nannie J. Lee, Patrick Henry and William Ramsay Recreation Centers.

In addition to the cheerleading competition, other activities include the first annual “Old School Cheerleaders and Coaches Alumni Reunion,” featuring a reception, special performances, and an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces. Pre-registration and a nominal fee are required to participate in the alumni reunion. Cheerleading Competition tickets are available for purchase in advance through April 15 at all City neighborhood recreation centers, and through April 18 at the Recreation Services Division Office, located at 1108 Jefferson St. Advance tickets are $5 for ages 13 and older, $2 for ages 6-12; and free for ages 5 and under. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $10 for ages 13 and older, $4 for ages 6-12.
