"State of the City" Alexandria 2008: Opportunities and Challenges

Mayor William D. Euille invites the public to attend the annual “State of the City” on Wednesday, March 26, at 7:00 p.m. This year, the event will be held at T.C. Williams High School, 3330 King St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served. Parking is available in the parking lots in the rear of the school, and along Chinquapin Drive. T.C. Williams students will participate in the production of the event, broadcast on all three government cable stations in the City (channels 69, 70, 71) and on the City’s Web site www.alexandriava.gov.
This year’s “State of the City,” highlights City programs, initiatives, and accomplishments, highlighting the opportunities and challenges that Alexandria faces. The evening will also feature exhibits from City departments where residents and visitors can meet City staff and learn more about their City government.
“We look forward to seeing our residents, the business community, and friends of the City at this event,” said Mayor Euille. “This annual event provides a unique opportunity for us as a community to celebrate our City’s accomplishments, and to discuss and contemplate what lies ahead.”
T.C. Williams is served by the DASH routes AT5 and AT6 and the King Street on-street bikeway.
