AlexandriaPolice Investigate Robbery at Wachovia Bank

 

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred today at the Wachovia Bank at 3624 King Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

 

At approximately 12:15 P.M., one suspect entered the bank and approached the teller. He implied that he had a handgun and demanded money. The victim teller complied and the suspect then fled from the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

 

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 30, 6’01” to 6’02”, 170 to 190 lbs., wearing a dark wool varsity-type jacket with red trim and dark-colored trousers. He was also wearing a baseball cap and black sunglasses.
