Important Information Regarding the Alexandria Courthouse Telephone System

Please note that this information refers only to the Alexandria Courthouse at 520 King Street, which houses city and state courts and agencies, and not to either of the federal courthouses located in Alexandria.

The Alexandria Courthouse voice mail system is currently down.  We anticipate that he voice mail system will be down through Wednesday, January 30, 2008.  If you are trying to reach a Courthouse agency, please be aware that the phone lines will only be answered during business hours since all after-hours lines are connected to the voice mail system that is not functioning at this time.

If you are trying to reach the Jury Coordinator in reference to a Jury Summons, please dial 703.838.4127 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

If you are trying to reach the Circuit Court Clerk's Office, please dial one of the direct phone numbers listed below between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  If the matter you are calling about is not specified below, please dial one of the following numbers and your call will be directed to the appropriate individual.

703.838.4066 -- Land Records
703.838.4055 -- Probate Matters

If you are trying to reach the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, please dial 703.838.4100 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

If you have been subpoenaed to testify by the Commonwealth's Attorney please click here anytime after 5:00 the evening before the hearing to see if you are still required to appear.
