City of Alexandria Announces Schedule of Services for Martin Luther King Day Holiday, Monday, January 21
State Offices Also Closed on Friday, January 18 for Lee-Jackson Day

All City of Alexandria government offices will be closed on Monday, January 21, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

Recreation Centers: The Chinquapin Park Recreation Center will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, January 21. The Cora Kelly, Mt. Vernon, William Ramsay, Charles Barrett, Patrick Henry, and Nannie J. Lee recreation centers will operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Libraries: All City of Alexandria Libraries will be closed on January 21.
           
Transit: Alexandria Transit Company DASH bus service will operate on a Saturday schedule on Monday, January 21.

Refuse Collection: Residential trash and recycling will not be collected on Monday, January 21. Scheduled collections will be delayed by one day during the week of January 21.

Parking: The Alexandria Police Department will suspend enforcement of parking restrictions at metered spaces, as well as time restrictions in residential permit parking districts and other areas with signed parking time limits, on Friday, January 18 for the Lee-Jackson holiday, and Monday, January 21, for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

State Offices: The following Commonwealth of Virginia offices located in Alexandria will be closed on Friday, January 18 for the Lee-Jackson holiday, and on Monday, January 21, for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday: the Circuit, General District, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts, the Clerk of Court Office, and the DMV Office at 2681 Mill Road.

Health Facilities: The Alexandria Health Department (4480 King St) and the Flora Krause Casey Health Center at 1200 N. Howard St., will be closed on January 18 for the Lee-Jackson holiday and on Monday, January 21 for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

The Adolescent Health Center at 3701 W. Braddock Road will be open on Friday, January 18 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., but will be closed on Monday, January 21.

Hotlines: All Alexandria Office on Women emergency hotlines operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including the domestic violence hotline, 703.838.4911, and the sexual assault hotline, 703.683.7273.
