Alexandria Police Investigate Robbery at BB&T Bank

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred today at the BB&T Bank at 233 South Van Dorn Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At approximately 9:37 A.M., two suspects entered the bank and approached the teller. One suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money. The victim teller complied and the suspects then fled from the bank in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects are described as black males dressed in all black clothing. One suspect is further described as 6’0” tall and wearing a black hoodie.
