Alexandria Transit Company Offers Free Rides for School Supplies

On August 23, 2007, Alexandria Transit Company (DASH) will be conducting a Back to School Supply Drive in partnership with Community Partners for Children.

Passengers who donate new school supplies (such as backpacks, notebooks, lunchboxes, etc.) when they board the bus on Thursday, August 23 will receive a free ride on DASH. Riders are requested to place their donation in the special blue plastic bags attached to the side of the fare box.
