City of Alexandria’s Outdoor Pools Open for 2007 Summer Season The operating schedule for the City of Alexandria’s outdoor pools for the 2007 summer season is: Old Town Pool, 1605 Cameron St. Open weekends only through June 10 Open daily, beginning June 13 - Sept. 3 Operating hours: noon - 7 p.m. Admission fees: $1 for children (ages 7 – 17) and adults (age 60 and older) and $2 for adults (ages 18 – 59) Warwick Pool, 3315 Landover St. Open weekends only through June 10 Open daily, beginning June 13 - Sept. 3 Operating hours: 11 am - 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and noon - 7 p.m. Monday - Friday Admission fees: $1 for children (ages 7 – 17) and adults (age 60 and older) and $2 for adults (ages 18 – 59) Season passes for Old Town and Warwick pools can be purchased at the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center, located at 3210 King St. Neighborhood Pools Nannie J. Lee Pool, 1108 Jefferson St. Nicholas Colasanto Pool, 2704 Mount Vernon Ave. John Ewald Pool, 4500 Duke St. Open daily, beginning June 18 – Aug. 17 Operating hours: noon - 6 p.m. Each neighborhood pool has a water depth of 3-5 feet and a maximum guest limit of 45 people. Attendance is limited to City youth, 13 years of age and younger. Parents are welcome to accompany their children and admission is free. The Charles Houston Pool, located at 901 Wythe St., is closed for repairs. Transportation is being provided from the Charles Houston Recreation Center to the Old Town Pool Monday through Friday at no charge. Rixse Memorial Indoor Pool at the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center, located at 3210 King St., is open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. - 9:45 p.m., Friday from 6 a.m. - 7:45 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Admission for City residents is $3 for youth and seniors (60 years old and older), $5 for ages 16 and older, and $8 for all nonresidents.
