City of Alexandria Announces Its June 2007 Concert Schedule The City’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is sponsoring the following concerts during the month of June 2007. All of the performances are free and can be canceled due to inclement weather. King Street Gardens Park Concert King Street Gardens Park 1806 King St. June 4 at 7 p.m. – Doris Justis (Acoustic Folk) Alexandria Citizens Band Concerts – the City’s Oldest Performing Arts Group Market Square 301 King St. June 8 at 7:30 p.m. June 22 at 7:30 p.m. Music at Twilight Concerts Fort Ward Park 4301 W. Braddock Road June 7 at 7:30 p.m. – Alexandria Singers (American Popular Music) June 14 at 7:30 p.m. – Alexandria Citizen’s Band (Traditional Concert Band) June 21 at 7:30 p.m. – Larry Brown Quintet (Jazz) June 28 at 7:30 p.m. – Michael Hoover (Memories of Elvis) Canal Center Plaza Concert 44 Canal Center Plaza (Riverfront Amphitheatre) June 20 at noon – L ‘Tanya Mari’ and Pauk Wingo (Jazz Duo) Montgomery Park Concert Montgomery Park 901 North Royal Street June 20 at 7 p.m. – Cletus Kennelly & Lori Kelley (Folk and Pop) Visitors to the City’s historic district are encouraged to take the Metro Yellow or Blue lines to the King Street Metro Station in Old Town, take DASH or Metrobus, or park in one of the convenient parking garages or lots.
