Alexandria Commission on Aging To Present
2007 Excellence in Aging Awards on May 22

The Alexandria Commission on Aging will present the 2007 Excellence in Aging Awards at a ceremony on Tuesday, May 22, at 5 p.m. in the Vola Lawson Lobby at City Hall, 301 King St. The annual awards recognize individuals and organizations for their exemplary efforts in helping Alexandria’s older residents maintain their independence and live their lives to the fullest. The public is invited to attend the awards ceremony, which coincides with the national observance of Older Americans Month. A reception with light refreshments will follow.

Winners and categories for the 2007 Excellence in Aging Awards are:


Susan Dawson – Winner of the Annie B. Rose Lifetime Achievement Award

Justine Rowe – Winner of the Lois Van Valkenburgh Excellence in Aging Award
for an Individual


Christ Church – Winner of the Excellence in Aging Award for an Organization
