Alexandria Police Identify Homicide Victims
Alexandria police have identified the victims of yesterday’s homicides as Nathan Travis Lee, a 31-year old Alexandria man and Mark Anthony Collins, a 28-year old man from Landover, Maryland.
Police were called to the 800 block of North Patrick Street around 2:15 a.m. yesterday for the report of gunshots. Responding officers located both men lying in the street. Both victims were pronounced dead at area hospitals.
Autopsies were conducted on April 19. These examinations showed that both men died of gunshot wounds.
A suspect has not been identified and a motive for the crime has not been determined. However, initial investigation indicates that the victims may have been specifically targeted.
