City of Alexandria Helps Potential Homeowners Find Affordable Housing
With 13th Annual Homeownership Fair On March 31

The City of Alexandria will help potential homeowners overcome the challenge of finding an affordable home in a competitive real estate market by hosting its 13th Annual Homeownership Fair. The homeownership fair will take place on Saturday, March 31, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the George Washington Middle School, 1005 Mount Vernon Ave. Admission is free.

During the fair, local real estate professionals, lenders, and housing counselors will be available to assist first-time home buyers in finding the right home, shopping for an affordable home loan, and addressing potential pitfalls in the home purchasing process.

Seminars will be held in English and Spanish and cover a wide range of topics that include the home buying process, mortgage financing, and condominium ownership. The fair will offer free housing counseling services and information on new loans that require little or no down payment as well as City homeownership assistance programs.

For more information on the City’s Homeownership Fair, call the Office of Housing at 703-838-4622.
