Alexandria Police Seek Identity of Armed Robbers

Alexandria police are asking for the public’s assistance to identify three men who robbed a West End pawn shop last month. Detectives are releasing video of the robbery and a description of the car the suspects fled in.

Just after 10 a.m., on Friday, February 16, three masked suspects entered First Cash Pawn at 516 South Van Dorn Street. One suspect remained by the front door, acting as a lookout. The others confronted two store employees and ordered them to comply. One suspect held an employee at gunpoint and forced her to open the safe. After robbing the business of cash, the suspects fled.

Police believe the suspects were driving a white convertible, two-door Chrysler Sebring. The model year likely ranges from 2000 to 2006 and the suspect vehicle had a black convertible top. The suspects are described as black males in their early 20s.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Detective Thomas Buckley at 703.838.4711.

Note: A photo of a vehicle strongly resembling the suspect vehicle and a photo from the security video appear below. A link to the video is also posted.
