Public Invited to Attend Reception To Recognize Artists
In Honor of Women’s History Month and Women in the Arts

The public is invited to attend a reception to recognize two local artists in honor of March as Women’s History Month and women in the arts. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 20, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on the second floor of City Hall, 301 King St. The reception will recognize Becky Heavner and Wynn Creasy whose works will be showcased at City Hall in the Alexandria Mayor’s Gallery and the Alexandria Council Gallery.


Becky Heavener’s work will feature fiber art and will be on display in the Alexandria Mayor's Gallery, located in City Hall, room 2331. Wynn Creasy’s pieces will feature acrylics and will be on display in the Alexandria Council Gallery, located in City Hall, room 2204. Both artists will be attending the reception and discussing their works.


The gallery exhibits are sponsored by the Office of the Mayor and City Council and the Alexandria Commission for the Arts.
