City of Alexandria Schedules Community Meetings On March 21 and 28
To Discuss Proposal for Soft Playroom at the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center

The public is invited to attend two community meetings to discuss a proposal to convert a racquetball court to a soft playroom at the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center. The meetings are scheduled to be held at the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center, located at 3210 King St, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, and Wednesday, March 28.

The purpose of the meetings is to discuss the possible conversion of one racquetball court to a soft playroom for preschool children. On March 21, staff from the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will discuss the potential impact of the loss of one racquetball court, and, on March 28, staff will present ideas for the conversion of the racquetball court to a soft playroom.
