26th Annual Alexandria St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Scheduled To Be Held in Old Town


The 26th Annual Alexandria St. Patrick’s Day Parade is to be held along King Street in Old Town in celebration of Irish-American heritage. The parade will take place on Saturday, March 3, from 12:30 pm to approximately 3 pm. No traffic will be allowed on the parade route, which runs eastbound on King Street from West Street to Fairfax Street.

The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is Kerry Donley, former Mayor of the City of Alexandria. The festivities will include the Invitational Classic Car Show at 10 am on N. Pitt Street between King Street and Cameron Street; and the Fun Dog Show at 10:30 am at Market Square, 301 King St. The Ballyshaners, Inc. is a cosponsor of the event.

Parking along the parade route will be restricted on Saturday, March 3, between 8 am and 3 pm. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date for the event is March 10.
