ALEXANDRIA CITY COUNCIL POSTPONES TONIGHT’S SCHEDULED MEETING UNTIL THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15 AT 6:00 PM Hazardous Weather Forecast Causes Two-Day Postponement Budget, CIP and Property Assessments Among Scheduled Docket Items Tonight’s scheduled City Council meeting has been postponed until Thursday at 6:00 p.m. due to the continued winter storm warning and hazardous road condition forecasts, Alexandria Mayor William D. Euille announced today. The Council work session on pre-school issues, originally scheduled for 5:30 p.m. today, will be rescheduled at a later date to be announced. The Budget Work Session on Revenues scheduled for Thursday, February 15 will take place following adjournment of the rescheduled Council meeting on that date. While the Council had previously indicated tonight’s meeting might be postponed for one day, the current winter storm warning is now expected to last through Wednesday afternoon, with significant amounts of snow, sleet and ice possible and hazardous road conditions possible through Wednesday night. ### |
