ALEXANDRIA CITY COUNCIL ANNOUNCES CONTINGENCY PLAN
FOR FEBRUARY 13 MEETING

Approaching Storm May Cause One-Day Meeting Postponement Until Wednesday, February 14

Budget, CIP and Property Assessments Among Scheduled Docket Items


In view of the current National Weather Service forecast for possibly heavy snow next Monday night and Tuesday, Alexandria Mayor William D. Euille today announced the following contingency plan for Tuesday's scheduled City Council Regular Meeting:


1. In the event that storm conditions necessitate postponing the scheduled Tuesday, February 13 City Council Regular Meeting, the meeting will be rescheduled for the next evening, Wednesday, February 14, at 7:00 p.m.


2. A decision on whether to postpone Tuesday's scheduled meeting will be made and announced no later than 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 13.


The Docket for the scheduled February 13 meeting includes the City Manager's Presentation of the City's:


Proposed Annual Operating Budget for FY 2008 (Including Alexandria City Public Schools)

Calendar Year 2007 Real Property Assessments, and

Proposed Capital Improvements Program for FY 2008-2013 (including the Alexandria City Public Schools' CIP)
