Alexandria Waterfront Committee Schedules Wednesday
Boat Tour of National Harbor Area on Maryland Potomac Shore
Public Welcome on Space-Available Basis

Alexandria Waterfront Committee Chair Susan Pettey today issued an invitation for the public to join members of the committee for a Wednesday, January 31 boat tour to the Potomac River’s Maryland shore to view the National Harbor development, now under construction in Prince George’s County.

Boarding will take place at the City Marina on the Potomac Riverboat Company's Miss Mallory beginning at 9:45 am. The tour is expected to last from 10 am to 11:45 am.

All media representatives wishing to participate will be accommodated. Members of the public will be accommodated on a space-available basis.

The Alexandria Waterfront Committee is a 15-member body established to study issues relating to the Alexandria Waterfront and make recommendations to City Council. Membership is composed of representatives of several community and business associations and other City boards and commissions, as well as four citizen representatives. Vice Mayor Andrew Macdonald represents the Alexandria City Council.
