ALEXANDRIA ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY COMMISSION SCHEDULES FEBRUARY 5 INFORMATION SESSION ON CAMERON RUN WATERSHED STUDY

The City of Alexandria’s Environmental Policy Commission will hold a public information session on Monday, February 5 at the Burke Library to discuss the status of the Cameron Run-Holmes Run Watershed Feasibility Study. This watershed encompasses roughly the southern two-thirds of the City of Alexandria.

This activity is a collaborative effort involving the City of Alexandria, Fairfax County, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to improve water quality and habitat within the Cameron Run-Holmes Run Watershed. The information session will feature a description of the team’s efforts to date and a comment period during which the public is welcome to make suggestions regarding projects to improve water quality.

The information session will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Ellen Coolidge Burke Branch Library, 4701 Seminary Road.
