Alexandria Police Identify Homicide Victim
Alexandria police have identified the victim of this morning’s homicide as Kareem Jamar Timmons, a 29-year-old Alexandria man. Police were called to 108 South Washington Street around 10:30 a.m. for the report of an injured man who was bleeding. The victim died at the scene.
The victim suffered trauma to the upper body. An autopsy will be performed tomorrow morning to determine the exact cause of death.
A suspect has not been identified and a motive for the crime has not been determined. However, initial investigation indicates that the victim may have been specifically targeted.
