Alexandria Police Arrest Homicide Suspect
This evening, Alexandria detectives arrested an Alexandria man for the murder of Kareem Timmons earlier today. Derrick A. Wright, 27, of 481 North Armistead Street, was charged with Murder.
Wright is charged with killing Timmons, a 29-year-old Alexandria man, who was found severely injured at 108 South Washington Street around 10:30 a.m. Timmons died at the scene.
An autopsy will be performed tomorrow to determine the cause of death.
A motive for the murder remains under investigation.
Detectives are encouraging anyone who may have been in the area of 108 South Washington Street this morning to call 703.838.4711.
Note: A photo of suspect is not being released at this time as detectives still need to interview additional witnesses.
