PLANNING RETREAT ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 6
Commission To Discuss Interim Report On Its Structure And Creation Of Vision For The Arts

The Alexandria Commission for the Arts has scheduled a planning retreat to discuss the Interim Report prepared by the Lord Cultural Resources consultancy firm assessing the Commission’s structure and creation of a vision for the arts. The retreat will take place on Saturday, Jan. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dr. Oswald Durant Memorial Center, 1605 Cameron St. The public is invited to attend.

The retreat offers Commission members an opportunity to work through the Interim Report. The retreat will be led by Margaret May, Senior Principal at Lord Cultural Resources. May has 30 years of experience in working with a wide range of cultural institutions and organizations in Canada and the United States. Following the retreat, the consultants are expected to prepare a final report with recommendations for the Commission.
