Alexandria Transit Partners with Businesses in Joint
Holiday Promotion: “DASHing through Alexandria”
Kickoff Tuesday, December 5, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at King Street Metro

(Alexandria, VA) The Alexandria Transit Company (DASH) has partnered with nearly 40 Alexandria local businesses to bring new customers to both the retail establishments and to the DASH bus system, by promoting the use of convenient and reliable transit options during the busy holiday shopping season. The City of Alexandria's transit service and accessibility gives it a clear advantage over many other shopping areas in the region.

“DASHing through Alexandria” encourages holiday shoppers to leave their cars at home and ride DASH instead by offering riders discount incentives to many of Alexandria’s shops and restaurants. The program reduces traffic congestion and helps shoppers to reduce holiday stress and the search for holiday parking by encouraging riders to use the DASH system and the free weekend Dash About King Street Shuttle during the busy holiday season. DASH provides convenient service to many of Alexandria’s prime shopping areas, including Old Town, Del Ray, Potomac Yard, Eisenhower Avenue, the West End, and Landmark. DASH also connects to all four of Alexandria’s Metrorail stations, and the Pentagon Metrorail station during the weekday peak periods.

Riders presenting their DASH bus transfer within four hours of their ride to any of these participating partners, will receive fantastic offers and savings:
